Empire was one of the most watched and talked about shows around the world in 2015, but that just wasn’t good enough for the Golden Globes.
The nominees in the best TV Series (drama) category in 2016 faced stiff competition, with each show featuring inspiring performances by its cast, an engaging storyline and complex character developments.
Ultimately, most viewers believed that the competition was between Games of Thrones and Empire. Those are undoubted the most watched and talked about shows of this past year. So why did Mr.Robot win? Was there major bias in the decision? Games of Thrones won last year. Then of course there is Empire’s “blackness”. So Mr. Robot. What is the award really about? It is suppose to be about the ratings, the filming and the drama performances. However, it seems it was a decision between The best and The Winner? Numbers don’t lie and numbers prove both [GOT] and Empire are suited higher.
“Empire’s” series nomination was the only recognition for a broadcast show in the major categories for the 2016 awards.
